All the cabinets have solid wood in all structural parts, especially where fasteners (screws/hinges) are used. Different styles use plywood of various thickness or engineered panels to keep the weight down. LVL, laminated veneer lumber, is used for the runners. LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) is stronger than plywood, made by bonding thin wood veneers together with adhesive. It's perfect for structural applications. There is no particle board used. MDF is used for some parts. For example, the drawer face, and the top of the Cottage style since it has a routed profile. Additionally, the design is routed into MDF and applied to the cottage front panel. The plywood drawer is made with strong dove tail joints. There are different types of real wood veneers used depending on the style. Acacia veneer is used for the brushed ash finish and Oak veneer is used on the Bridger. The painted styles may have an MDF skin.
